The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves invites you to join us for a stakeholder meeting in Nairobi at the LAICO Regency Hotel (Loita Street, Uhuru Highway) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, December 4 and 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 5. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss ways to coordinate all of our efforts surrounding the clean cookstove and fuels sector in Kenya, including identifying the specific role of the Global Alliance, finalizing the Kenya Country Action Plan (CAP), and deciding on concrete next steps, roles, and responsibilities for the implementation of the Kenya CAP.

The meeting will serve as a follow up to prior stakeholder consultations held earlier this year, including the Alliance’s initial East Africa stakeholder consultation held in April and the series of consultations to gather inputs for the final draft of the CAP.The agenda for this meeting will consist of a brief review of the Kenya Country Action Plan, an update on the areas in which the Global Alliance plans to focus in Kenya, and an initial mapping of the implementation strategy to address the priority interventions outlined in the CAP, including the identification of key performance indicators and M&E necessary to measure progress.

Ahead of the meeting, we encourage participants to read the draft Kenya CAP, which is attached to this invitation.  Please RSVP to Tess Udall at by November 19th to confirm your attendance.

We look forward to meeting with you again and working towards catalyzing and growing the market to achieve adoption at scale of clean cooking solutions in Kenya.
