Supriya Kumar is the India Country Representative for the Clean Cooking Alliance. She leads the Alliance’s market development activities in India and is responsible for strategic partnerships and cross-sectoral collaboration to facilitate large-scale adoption of clean cooking solutions. She has 15 years of experience in handling large, multi-sectoral development operations and has held various positions with the World Bank, United Nations Development Programme and the Private Sector in India, Southeast Asia and USA. Her work has been focused on delivering innovative, high impact development solutions for women’s social and economic empowerment through partnerships and collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders including government, NGOs, multilateral and bilateral institutions, corporates, foundations, social enterprises, impact investors and academia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Mumbai University, India and a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from University of Pennsylvania, USA.
